How much can I get for my photos?

Again, it depends on who or what your photos are of, how clear they are and how in demand they might be. Get in touch through the ‘Free Valuation’ form to get an idea.

Why should I sell my story to Make the Press and not straight to a paper or magazine?

You have a much bigger chance of getting more money through us. Firstly, having worked on many of the publications ourselves, our contacts will look to give us the highest amount possible.

Secondly, many papers might want your story exclusively so we can shop around quickly on your behalf to get you the best amount of money.

Thirdly, we can sort out deals involving several publications to get you even more money – and even help you get TV and more, besides.

We also help our clients get their stories into publications abroad if they so wish, giving them even more chance of maximizing the fee they can command.

Many people often feel apprehensive going to the press, but we take the stress out of the whole process.

We’ll also make sure you get the story read back to you if relevant and on the bigger stories, ensure you have a contract stating just how much money you are going to get. And we’ll be with you every step of the way!

We are a team of former national newspaper and magazine journalists and writers, with a wealth of experience in the industry, who have contacts dotted all around the world.

How much do you take of my fee?

We don’t take anything of the money we arrange for you. We arrange our own fee, usually for writing the article, so it’s in our interest to get you as much as we can!

How long will it take for me to get paid?

Anywhere from a few weeks to six weeks is the norm.

What type of stories sell?

Unusual or unique health stories; stories connected to a court case; celebrity photos or tips; anything unusual, weird, or topical; love rats; kiss & tells.
